The powerful Mistress of the Copper Mountain is a character from a collection of tales Malachite Casket by Pavel Bazhov. She emerges as a beautiful green-eyed woman with a plait of hair and ribbons from thin tinkling copper, in a dress from silk malachite. She is a proud and arrogant keeper of immense wealth hidden in the bowels of the earth. She knows all mysteries of nature and weaknesses of human soul. She can build in a night a luxurious palace or destroy a mountain, exalt or annihilate whoever she will: …this mistress, the lady of malachite, loves to play tricks on humans… She securely hides collections of precious stones, gold-bearing strata and ore from greedy and soulless people, but opens up her treasures to talented people with a pure heart. Malachite is a bright-green natural mineral.

Malakhitovy Tsvetok is a magical and sublime fragrance with a mysterious character that glorifies diversity, beauty and strength of the Russian soul. The French perfumer Christian Vermorel has created an attractive composition that reflects the mysterious depth and strong personality of the puzzling Malakhitovy Tsvetok. Green galbanum and bitter hyacinth convey the cool composure. The noble iris, lily-of-the-valley, and heliotrope are all magical. The sweet vanilla, oakmoss and Haitian vetiver incite passion.

Bertrand Duchaufour

Bertrand began his perfumer career in Grasse in 1985. He learned from the senior Master Perfumers at Florasynth and Symrise and shaped during all these years his own approach to Perfumery.

“I had acquired a very specific approach to perfumery, which is that of all the perfumers in the big labs. By becoming independent, by working in my own lab, directly on my formulas, by weighing them, I’ve developed a different approach to perfumery, another way of building my perfumes. My control over raw materials is getting better and better”. - Bertrand Duchaufour.
