Russkaya Knyazhna (Russian Princess)

Russkaya Knyazhna is an image of a young princess with a proud bearing, glorified by the great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov in his novel ‘A Hero of Our Time’. Something that evades definition but is comprehensible to the eye… said Lermontov’s Pechorin about young princess Mary. The charm of the Russian Princess is in her strict beauty and easygoing nature. On the lawn, she is having a good time with her girlfriends like her childhood, at a high society party she draws the eye and turns the heads of men. In her family circle, she indulges in dreams. Only one thing never changes in her – the pink on her cheeks, the mischief in her eyes, and a sly smile on her lips.

Russkaya Knyazhna is a charming fragrance, a perfect reflection of reserved Russian beauty. The outstanding French perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, chose for his composition Russkaya Knyazhna juicy berry and warm floral accords. Raspberry and strawberry convey the ease and frivolity of an attractive image, velvety iris and rose accords fill the fragrance with exquisite notes, while the spicy-woody tinges highlight languid charm and femininity.

Bertrand Duchaufour

Bertrand began his perfumer career in Grasse in 1985. He learned from the senior Master Perfumers at Florasynth and Symrise and shaped during all these years his own approach to Perfumery.

“I had acquired a very specific approach to perfumery, which is that of all the perfumers in the big labs. By becoming independent, by working in my own lab, directly on my formulas, by weighing them, I’ve developed a different approach to perfumery, another way of building my perfumes. My control over raw materials is getting better and better”. - Bertrand Duchaufour.
