Since time immemorial, different people of the world had a sacred cult of the fertile land that gives life to all living things, provides wealth and prosperity. The circle of life, the annual revival of nature in spring infatuated people, who perceived this as a miracle. The land was for people a cradle of life and the sole home from which they looked into the endless sky, hoping to better understand themselves.
The ancient theories presented the Earth not as a tiny grit in the unbounded universe, but as an unshakeable firmament, the centre of all exiting things. We know now that our planet is just a component of a huge galaxy, rushing at an incredible speed through the cosmic emptiness. However, the Earth at all times is for us a point of reference, the most solid of all supports, and the source of eternal life in the Universe.
The blooming and bright fragrance of Sacred Earth is an incarnation of life circulating in space. The aerial tea notes reveal the light character of the fragrance. Smelling sweet in the heart are ripe figs, the symbol of eternal life on Earth. A gorgeous sillage is a cosmic union of hyacinths and water jasmine against the soft background of gourmand tonka beans, spicy vetiver, and noble cedar.

Bertrand began his perfumer career in Grasse in 1985. He learned from the senior Master Perfumers at Florasynth and Symrise and shaped during all these years his own approach to Perfumery.
“I had acquired a very specific approach to perfumery, which is that of all the perfumers in the big labs. By becoming independent, by working in my own lab, directly on my formulas, by weighing them, I’ve developed a different approach to perfumery, another way of building my perfumes. My control over raw materials is getting better and better”. - Bertrand Duchaufour.
