The deities of the Sun have many incarnations: the Egyptians worshipped Sekhmet, a lioness with a solar disk on her head. the Japanese honoured Amaterasu, giving life. The Greek Eos, the Roman Aurora the German Ostar - faces of the dawn, that every morning rises from across the ocean beautiful in their eternal youth. The power of the sun is the power of the generosity and warmth, abundance and joy, the aura of heat and the energy of summer.

The bottle deserves a separate mention, it's heavy crystal with exactly 57 facets, the same number you have in the classic diamond cut, the perfect number to capture light inside the crystal and to make it pulse within.

You can actually spin the bottle (the base has been cut in a special way) to admire the play of light inside the moonstone coloured tincture.

Bertrand Duchaufour

Bertrand began his perfumer career in Grasse in 1985. He learned from the senior Master Perfumers at Florasynth and Symrise and shaped during all these years his own approach to Perfumery.

“I had acquired a very specific approach to perfumery, which is that of all the perfumers in the big labs. By becoming independent, by working in my own lab, directly on my formulas, by weighing them, I’ve developed a different approach to perfumery, another way of building my perfumes. My control over raw materials is getting better and better”. - Bertrand Duchaufour.
